STOP CARIES IN THEIR TRACKS Silver Diamine Fluoride is the new kid on the block. It has been used in Japan for 80 years and is now available in the US. SDF kills microbes with silver ions and helps remineralize with high concentrations of fluoride ions. It’s an excellent tactic to ward off decay for the very old or young patients with extreme caries risk, and also for behavioral or medically-compromised patients.
